Within drum & bass Dego MacFarlane and Mark Mac are legendary. Responsible for the music's first artist longplayer (check "In Rough Territory", released in 1991), the introduction of jazz to the genre and the unleashing of Goldie to the world. Their Reinforced imprint has released a steady stream of material since May 1990, bringing names such as Doc Scott, Nebula II, Peshay, and Arcon 2 through. After releasing two critically acclaimed longplayers under pseudonym, the techno influenced Jacobs Optical Stairway (for R&S), and Tek 9's hip hop inferenced "It's Not What You Think It Is" (for SSR) they finally signed their key project, 4 Hero, to Talkin' Loud in the early months of last year. --source unidentified
- Creating Patterns () - 4Hero [Amazon.com]
Fourth full length from the amazing London Acid Jazz / Nu-Soul / Down-tempo act. Includes the beautiful first single 'Les Fleur'on which Carina Anderson reworks Minnie Ripperton's vocal against a 16 piece string and brass section. It is truly an unbelievable and gorgeous version. All you Jazz heads must hear it to believe it. Stunning. Other highlights include Jill Scott lending her vocal talents on 'Another Day' which could have easily fit on her debut album. Ursula Rucker contributes vocals to 'Time'.
